Tour Plan
Arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station, where you will be greeted by our tour representative. Enjoy a scenic drive to Shillong, which takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around the town and explore the vibrant local markets.
After breakfast, discover Shillong’s highlights, including Ward’s Lake, the Don Bosco Museum, and Shillong Peak. In the afternoon, visit the picturesque Elephant Falls and take in the natural beauty of the cascading waters. Return to your hotel in Shillong for dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Following breakfast, drive to Tyrna, the starting point for your trek to Nongriat, which is about a 2-3 hour drive from Shillong. Begin your trek through lush forests, experiencing the rich culture and traditions of the Khasi tribe along the way. Visit the famous living root bridges in Nongriat, created by training the roots of the Ficus elastica tree to form natural bridges over river gaps. Spend the night in a local homestay in Nongriat, enjoying traditional cuisine and warm hospitality.
After breakfast, explore Nongriat’s nearby attractions, including the stunning Rainbow Falls and the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Relax by the waterfalls and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding forests and mountains. Return to your homestay in Nongriat for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, trek back to Tyrna and drive back to Shillong. Spend the day at leisure, exploring the local markets or relaxing in Shillong. In the evening, transfer to Guwahati airport or railway station for your onward journey.
